Christopher Depcik, Ph.D., is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kansas with a Courtesy Appointment in Aerospace Engineering. He holds M.S. degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
With over 30 years in thermodynamics and 20 years developing industrial models for chemical reactions and membrane flow, he has authored 130+ refereed articles with over 3,000 citations, ranking in the World’s Top 2% of Scientists. A Fellow of ASME and a recipient of multiple Outstanding Educator awards, his expertise bridges academic innovation, industry impact, and the science of fine spirits.
